Set within the main hotel, the ambiance of The Lodge Restaurant is more of refinement and style, with an extended wine list that offers that little something extra special for the serious wine buff. The sumptuous surroundings, flickering candlelight and personal service makes for a perfect, special evening.
The food is a fusion of traditional Lake District pub food and contemporary European cuisine. There are the old classics such as steak and Yates ale pie and Cumberland sausage as well as modern favourites such as our homemade 8oz beef burger and smoked salmon and haddock fishcakes. The specials change regularly and often feature dishes such as local fillet steak, roast rack of lamb and tender duck breast. Wherever possible we use only the freshest local produce.
