New Year at the Dale Lodge Hotel, Grasmere

December 30th 2008
Arrive at your leisure from 2pm onwards and enjoy our warm welcome as afternoon tea, mince pies and mulled wine awaits you. At 6.30pm, everyone is invited to meet in the residents lounge for a champagne reception and a chance to meet fellow guests and the proprietors.
Dinner is then served from 7pm onwards (book your preferred time on arrival). Following the three course a' la cart menu, you can either elect to relax and unwind in the lounge or join in the festive quiz in Tweedies Bar, our adjoining village pub which specialise's in real ale and world beers.
December 31st 2008
After a hearty Lakeland breakfast the day is your own, either to take a long walk, or to prepare yourself for the night ahead. Advice, plans and maps of local walks from the village are available from reception. Afternoon Tea is served in the Residents Lounge from 3pm.
New Years Eve Party
From 6pm, everyone is invited to meet in the Lounge in formal dress for a champagne and canape reception. Entertainment for the evening comes from Francis Barend, an excellent classical guitarist.
Our Grand New Year Dinner is then served from 6.30pm onwards. After dinner, coffee and brandy is served in the lounge. From 10pm enjoy the disco and musical talents of Sam Davidson. With the Bar open until 1am it will be a fantastic party seeing in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display at midnight.
1st January 2009
Breakfast is served at a leisurely pace between 9 and 11am to give you the chance for a lie in after the big night. A traditional roast is available in Tweedies Bar from 12 - 3pm, booking is advisable. In the evening we offer a gourmet buffet from 6pm giving you the chance to sample a variety of the Chef's specialities.
