Foreword: We have great food in Cumbria and I am proud and excited to celebrate it. We live in a beautiful place and thankfully great chefs from all over
the world are drawn to live and work here because of the passion and excitement for our food. Local chefs have great seasonal, local produce to use – after
all, why buy from away when we have the best at home? The face of the licensing industry has also had to change and many of our pubs and inns have risen to
the challenge and with creative chefs, are giving us great local food without destroying our lovely Cumbrian pubs. So go on, take this book, dive in and
have a great adventure. It’s all here on our doorstep. – Dave Myers (TV’s Hairy Biker, born in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria).
Books are on sale at Dale Lodge and Tweedies Bar for £15 in a beautiful hardcover volume. Also available at all good bookshops (published by NorthEast Exclusive – ISBN 978-0-9552360-3-7).
